College is more important than anything in your life. There are always weird exceptions like your two examples, but more of the time, you’ll turn out successful and happy through college. You should go to college to claim an education, not receive it. Education is your right. It’s your choice if you want to claim it, and how far you want to go in life.

there are always exceptions to the rules, but in most cases you do need some kind of degree. and today’s job market is highly competitive, and often college can provide an edge.

As the population rises and more people immagrate to the U.S., getting jobs is much more competitive. If you dont want to go college then at least go to tech school. There are very few jobs that you can get without a college education, and leave those alone for highschoolers looking to make money.

College is very important nowadays with the the employment rate depleting, it is getting harder and harder to find a job without a degree.
Student loans generally don’t cost to much if you have a high grade point average. I’ve heard some colleges do not charge anything at all if you have a high grade point average, IQ, etc.

The college grads you hear about probably didn’t think things through, didn’t realize that college wasn’t really a simple free thing in life. They also may have an income of bills, do not do well in their job, got married and/or had kids, or they have not done well at all in college. Pointing to above, never get a degree, get married, then pop out babies. That will make your degree worth nothing because you will have no time for college or a career.

Some kind of continued education is important in this day and age. It used to be that a high school diploma was all one needed.

The problem today is that students aren’t taught how to market their skills once they leave college. Once they are out on their own they struggle. Schools have programs but they aren’t properly advertised and or made available to students.

The high paying jobs take a degree of some kind. There are middle wage, middle class jobs that take Associates degrees but you’ll find that those of your friends who are doing well probably had to work harder than a college grad would to get where they are.

Even the better factory jobs need some kind of education ie welders.

Also the cost of college is minimal if you use your education wisely to get a good job. You can try for scholarships and grants to help with the costs.

Personally I went to school for my Bachelors of Fine Arts in Painting. While I make most of my money painting from home I’ve been able to market my skills into at a national gallery.

Well, standards in today’s world are highly rising .College will only become more important as time progresses. If you don’t want to deal with student loans, then get financial aid (you never have to pay them back). Not only do you learn a lot in college, but you make friends; good friends. You should at least experience a full semester before making up your mind on attending or not.
